Each photograph is more than a picture; it's a piece of my heart, a reflection of your most precious moments, captured with light & my devotion.

A little about me

Loving Mum, wife, photographer, communication manager, a creative mind and an absolute travel & slow intentional living enthusiast

The truth is – photography isn’t just what I do; it’s a calling that completely fills my heart and soul.

Photography, for me, has never been about simply taking pictures. When I step behind the camera, I bring my whole heart with me. Every image I create is rooted in connection, emotion, and the belief that the most meaningful moments in life deserve to be remembered exactly as they felt. My work is about preserving the fleeting chapters that often pass by too quickly—the anticipation of motherhood, the tenderness between partners, the beautiful chaos of family life, and the countless little moments that quietly shape our stories. These photographs are more than images; they become tangible memories, allowing you to return to the people, emotions, and seasons of life that matter most. I create honest, soulful imagery for individuals, couples, and families who value authenticity over perfection and connection over poses. My approach is gentle, documentary-inspired, and deeply personal, allowing space for genuine emotions to unfold naturally.

I´m a Mummy of two precious & energetic little ones

I'm Angelie – a German photographer who followed her heart to Denmark and never looked back. Drawn by a slower, more intentional way of living, my family and I left the fast pace of Berlin behind and settled in the beautiful countryside of West Jutland. The Danish values of hygge, simplicity, and presence have profoundly shaped both my life and my work. I'm a wife and a mother to two adventurous boys who remind me every day how quickly childhood passes. My days are filled with muddy boots, bedtime stories, endless cuddles, and the beautiful unpredictability of family life. It is this perspective that allows me to document families with empathy, understanding, and genuine care. Before photography became my profession, I spent years working as an Online Marketing Manager and Communications Manager in the corporate world. But after becoming a mother, I felt a growing desire to create a life centered around family, creativity, and meaningful human connection. During my maternity leave with my second son, I rediscovered a lifelong passion: drawing with light. What began as a creative outlet soon evolved into something much greater. I realized that photography allowed me to combine artistry with storytelling in a way that felt deeply aligned with who I am. It gave me the opportunity to preserve life's most precious moments for others while creating a life that reflected my own values. Today, as a traveling photographer, I serve individuals, couples, and families across Denmark, Sweden, and Northern Germany – including the Baltic Sea and North Sea coastlines. Whether we meet on windswept dunes, along dramatic coastlines, in blooming meadows, or within the comfort of your home, my goal remains the same: to create timeless, heartfelt photographs that feel like you. Because one day, these photographs will become part of your legacy. And that is a responsibility I carry with gratitude, intention, and my whole heart.

Photographs are immensely important to me because they capture fleeting moments and emotions that shape every person's life. They serve as visual reminders of precious moments and connect to loved ones and significant experiences. Each image tells a unique story, preserving the essence of my clients' stories and allowing them to relive those moments.

I believe every family’s story deserves to be preserved. That’s why I create natural, timeless portraits that become cherished heirlooms for generations. From intimate elopements and empowering women’s portraits, to heartfelt family sessions, carefree beach shoots, and the tender milestones of maternity, newborn, and baby photography – each moment tells a piece of your unique journey. Let’s capture the wonder of childhood, the beauty of motherhood, and the connections that make your family’s history truly unforgettable.

I don’t simply capture what is seen; I look for the quiet moments, the genuine connection and the light that turns them into something unforgettable.

Light is my visual language.

Light is my visual language. It shapes the way I see, feel, and tell a story through photography. I’m drawn to the soft, natural light that reveals emotion, connection, and all the beautiful details in between. For me, photography is about more than creating beautiful images. It’s about capturing how a moment felt — the warmth of a touch, the joy in a child’s laughter, the quiet anticipation of becoming a mother, or the love shared between two people. Every photograph becomes a little piece of a story, preserving fleeting moments in a way that feels honest, timeless, and deeply personal. Because light may change from one moment to the next, but the memories it helps us hold onto can last for generations.

I believe the most meaningful photographs are the ones that let you feel a moment all over again. That’s why I create natural, timeless imagery that captures the beauty, connection, and little in-between moments that make your story uniquely yours. From intimate elopements and empowering women’s portraits to heartfelt family sessions, carefree beach days, and the beautiful journey of maternity, newborn, and baby photography — I’m here to preserve the moments you never want to forget. Because childhood passes in a blink, motherhood is made of fleeting seasons, and the people we love are what make our story worth remembering. Let’s create photographs that feel like you — honest, warm, timeless, and cherished for generations to come.

My approach

Photography is my way of paying attention.

I draw with light, guided by connection, curiosity and the quiet moments that make your story uniquely yours.

I don't believe that the most meaningful photographs are necessarily the most perfectly posed ones. Sometimes, the magic happens in between. A glance. A touch. A child's laughter. The way someone looks at the person they love. Wind moving through someone's hair. A quiet moment together. The light falling across a face. These are the moments I look for. My approach to photography is rooted in authenticity, connection and visual storytelling. I want my images to feel alive – natural, emotional and true to the people in them. I don't want to simply photograph what you look like. I want to photograph how it feels to be together.

Drawing with light

Soft morning light on the Danish coast. The golden glow of a summer evening. The changing skies of the North Sea. The quiet, intimate light inside my studio. I love observing how light transforms a place, a mood and a moment. For me, photography is almost like drawing — only the light is my pencil. And devotion is the way I approach the story. I take time to observe, to connect and to notice the little things. I don't want to rush a moment into existence. I want to give it space to unfold.

From studio beginnings to travelling stories

Angelie Photography began in a small newborn studio in Thorstrup, near Varde, Denmark. The studio became the first home of my photography – a quiet, intimate space where I photographed some of life's earliest and most precious moments. But photography soon took me beyond the studio walls. Today, I am a travelling photographer, while still keeping my little studio in Denmark as my base. I travel to photograph people in the places that are meaningful to them — at home, outdoors, by the sea, on holiday or somewhere in between. The studio is where Angelie Photography began. The road is where many of its stories continue.

Trust creates the space for real moments to unfold — and real moments are where the most beautiful photographs begin.

MY Values

With patience, presence and devotion, I create space for the little moments that might otherwise pass unnoticed.

Authenticity

I don't want to create images that feel disconnected from the people in them.

I want you to recognize yourself!

Not a perfected version.

Not a performance.

You.

Real expressions, genuine connection and the small imperfections that make a moment truly yours.

Connection

For me, beautiful photography begins long before I press the shutter. It begins with trust. Whether I’m photographing you as an individual, a couple, or a family, my first priority is creating an atmosphere where you can relax, feel comfortable, and truly be yourself.

Think of me as your photo bestie – someone you can trust, laugh with, and simply be yourself around. Before our session, and throughout our time together, you’re welcome to tell me your unique story – or just the parts of it you feel comfortable sharing..

I listen. I observe. I see you.

For individuals, it’s about creating space for your personality to shine. You don’t need to know how to pose or feel naturally confident in front of a camera. I’ll guide you gently, while making sure there’s room for your own expression, energy, and personality to come through.

For couples, it’s about connection. You don’t need to know what to do or how to pose together. Instead, focus on each other – the laughter, the little touches, the quiet moments, the way you naturally interact. I’ll guide you when needed, but most importantly, I’ll give you the space to simply be together.

For families, it’s about capturing the feeling of being a family – exactly as you are. The laughter, the cuddles, the playful chaos, the little personalities, and all those fleeting moments that make your family yours. You don’t need to get everyone to behave perfectly or constantly look at the camera. Just be together. I’ll take care of the rest.

You don’t need to be experienced in front of a camera. You don’t need to know how to pose. You don’t need to perform or become someone you’re not..

You simply need to show up as yourselves. .

Tell me your story.

Let me get to know you. Laugh with me, move with me, slow down with me. Because when I photograph you, I’m not just looking through my camera. I listen. I notice. I see you.

And that’s where the most meaningful photographs begin.

Presence

A photoshoot with me is about much more than creating beautiful photographs. It is an invitation to slow down, step away from everyday noise, and experience something real, honest, and entirely your own.

Because life doesn’t always warn us when a moment is about to become a memory.

Often, the moments we remember most are the ordinary ones: the warmth of the sun, sand beneath your feet, the sound of the ocean, your partner’s hand finding yours, or the way your child looks at you in a moment you wish you could keep forever.

Being fully present isn’t always easy. Some people arrive and immediately settle in, while others need more time. If you are introverted, stressed, constantly busy, or tend to live in your head, it can take a while to truly arrive.

That is why I offer collections in different lengths. A shorter session can be perfect when you quickly find your flow, while a longer one gives us space to slow down, wander, talk, laugh, and let the experience unfold. The extra time isn’t simply about more photographs. It is about giving you space to arrive.

Take off your shoes. Feel the sand. Leave your phone behind. Look towards the sea instead of the camera. Feel the wind, listen to the waves, breathe deeply, and notice yourself and each other.

This is where presence begins.

Little by little, you stop wondering whether you are standing correctly, smiling naturally, or doing the session “right”. You simply start to experience.

And that is what I want.

I don’t want you to perform being yourselves. I want you to actually be yourselves: laughing, touching, walking, exploring, holding each other, and forgetting about the camera.

I often invite you to reconnect with your inner child, because children are completely absorbed in the present. They don’t care how they look when they run, dance, get dirty, or jump into the water.

They are there. Completely.

And I want to give you permission to be there, too.

BUT PRESENCE IS NOT SOMETHING I WANT TO RESERVE FOR BEACH SESSIONS.

It matters just as much on your wedding day. A civil ceremony can happen incredibly quickly. You say your vows, exchange rings, sign the documents, kiss – and suddenly the day moves on.

Then come guests, congratulations, family photographs, portraits, dinner, speeches, dancing, music, and countless emotions.

It is beautiful, but it is also a lot.

Sometimes you need someone to remind you to stop. To breathe. To look at your newly married partner and let the thought sink in:

“We just got married.”

This is where my role becomes more meaningful than simply documenting what happens. I notice when you need direction, when you need space, when you are overwhelmed, when you relax, and when something beautiful happens between the planned moments.

Sometimes I guide you. Sometimes I ask you to slow down and reconnect. And sometimes I simply step back and let you have the moment.

Not because I need another photograph, but because I believe you deserve to experience it.

YOUR PRESENCE MATTERS. AND SO DOES MINE.

When you are truly present, you give me something even more valuable to photograph: you as you actually are. Not the polished version, but the real you – breathing, laughing, feeling, connecting, sometimes messy, sometimes quiet, and sometimes completely radiant.

AN EXPERIENCE FIRST. PHOTOGRAPHS SECOND.

Because this moment will never happen in exactly this way again.

I don’t just want to give you photographs that prove it happened.

I WANT YOU TO REMEMBER THAT YOU WERE TRULY HERE.

FULLY PRESENT

What matters to me is your light & your unique story

Storytelling

Every person has a story. Every relationship has a story. Every family has a story and I believe every story is worth telling. It doesn’t have to be extraordinary. What makes it meaningful are the details that make it uniquely yours: the people you love, the experiences that shaped you, the little traditions, the laughter, the challenges, and the moments you may not realize are worth remembering. My background in communication has taught me to be curious, to listen closely, and to look beyond the obvious. I want to understand what makes your story yours, so I can translate it into images that feel personal rather than generic. You can share your story with me (as much or as little as you like) and I’ll let those insights guide the way I photograph you. Photography gives me the opportunity to tell your story without words. And I want my photographs to be remembered not only for how they looked, but for what they felt like to live.

Devotion

Devotion is at the heart of my work. For me, it means caring deeply about what I create and about the people who trust me with something as personal as their memories. It is the quiet commitment to doing things wholeheartedly, rather than simply checking a box or moving from one image to the next. It means arriving prepared, giving my full attention to the craft, and being willing to go the extra mile when it matters. Sometimes that means waiting for a particular light to appear, walking a little further to find the right setting, or staying a few minutes longer because I know there is still something waiting to unfold. It also means caring about the final photographs long after the session itself is over: selecting thoughtfully, refining every image with intention, and creating a collection that feels cohesive, personal, and worthy of being kept. I never want my work to feel rushed or interchangeable. There is a certain tenderness in being trusted to photograph something that cannot be repeated, and I feel deeply privileged every time I am invited into that space. Devotion, to me, is giving each story the care I would want someone to give mine.

Light

Light is more than a technical element of photography.

It creates atmosphere, evokes emotion, and can make an image feel nostalgic, intimate, joyful, wild, or calm. It is at the heart of my visual language and one of the reasons I fell in love with photography in the first place.

But over time, I’ve come to realize that there is another kind of light I’m just as interested in:

Yours.

The light you carry within you! The spark in your eyes when you laugh, the softness in your face when you look at someone you love, the energy that appears when you stop thinking about how you look and simply start being yourself. Sometimes you may not even notice that light yourself.

Maybe you feel awkward in front of a camera, are not used to being photographed, or have become so focused on everyday life that you’ve forgotten how it feels to simply let yourself shine. That’s where I come in.

I don’t want to turn you into someone else or create a perfect version of you. I want to bring out more of who you already are. Sometimes that happens through beautiful natural light: the warmth of the sun, the softness of a cloudy sky, the glow reflected from the ocean. And sometimes it happens through laughter, movement, connection, a deep breath, or simply giving yourself permission to let go.

I’ll guide you, gently and intuitively, until you stop thinking about the camera and start experiencing the moment. Because when you feel comfortable, you soften.

When you feel seen, you open up. And when you stop performing, your own light begins to shine.

That is the light I’m looking for. Not perfection. Not a pose.

You.

With a heart for photography and a mind shaped by corporate communications, I bring together visual storytelling, curiosity and a deep understanding of what makes a story worth telling.

The Lume - Drawing with Light & Devotion

My passion for stories doesn't stop when I put the camera down. I am also the creator of The Lume, a free online magazine dedicated to stories, people, ideas and perspectives worth discovering. The Lume gives me another space to explore visual culture and storytelling: combining photography, words and curiosity. It is an extension of the same philosophy that informs my photography: Look closer. Stay curious. Tell meaningful stories.

Corporate Communications taught me how to find the story. Photography taught me how to make it visible. Today, both worlds are part of my work.

My Background

Corporate Communication taught me to look for the story; photography gave me a way to tell it through light, emotion and connection.

Communication taught me how to find the story.

Before photography became my profession, corporate communications was my world. My career has taken me through Corporate Communications (Internal & PR), Online Marketing, Events and digital communication, giving me a broad perspective on how people, brands and stories connect. I worked as a Communication Manager at Ingram Micro CFS Eurohub Fulfilment GmbH (our main client back than was ASOS), in Internal Communications at MTU Maintenance Berlin Brandenburg, and in Online Marketing at autohaus24 (Sixt SE & Axel Springer AG) and later at the prosperity company AG, just before we moved to Denmarks beautiful west coast and I founded Angelie Photography. Earlier in my career, I gained experience in publishing and journalism through internships at Deutsche Lufthansa, be.bra verlag and Berliner Verlag / Berliner Abendblatt during my university years studying Business Communication. All of these experiences shaped the way I see communication today. They taught me to ask: What is the story? Who is it for? What makes it meaningful? And how can it be communicated authentically? Photography became a natural extension of those questions.

From communication to visual storytelling

I studied Culture and Technology at Technische Universität Berlin (TU Berlin), focusing on science and technology history as well as communication and media studies. I later studied Business Communication at Hochschule für Technik und Wirtschaft Berlin (University of Applied Sciences Berlin), with a focus on corporate communication, events and (online) marketing. During my studies, I also spent several months in Toronto, Canada, completing an intensive English programme with additional coursework in Journalism and Business English. My professional background might look different from that of a traditionally photographer. But I see that as an advantage. Communication taught me how to find the story. Photography taught me how to make it visible. Today, both worlds are part of my work.

"I want to create photographs that do more than preserve a moment – I want them to bring you back to how it felt."

My Vision

Loving Mum, wife, photographer, communication manager, a creative mind and an absolute travel & slow intentional living enthusiast

The truth is – photography isn’t just what I do; it’s a calling that completely fills my heart and soul.

More than photographs. I don't want Angelie Photography to simply be about beautiful pictures. I want it to be about meaningful memories, honest connection and visual stories that become more valuable with time. A photograph can freeze a moment. But the best photographs do something more.

They bring you back. To the way the wind felt.

To the sound of laughter.

To the tiny hand in yours.

To the person standing beside you.

To a particular summer.

To a place that once felt like home.

To a loved one, that shared their last tear on your wedding day before they passed away.

That is what I want to create: keepsake Images that don't just remind you of what happened, but of how it felt.

A travelling photographer with a home base

My vision for Angelie Photography is not tied to one studio or one place. My studio in Thorstrup remains my Danish home base, a place where I can create intimate newborn photography and welcome people into a calm, personal environment. But my work has grown beyond those four walls. I want to continue travelling. To discover new places. To meet new people. To photograph families growing and couples creating lives across borders. To work with people whose stories cross countries, cultures and languages. From the Danish West Coast to southern Sweden and Northern Germany, I want to follow those stories wherever they lead.

The studio is where it began. The journey is where it continues.

For the beautifully in-between

Perhaps I am drawn to the in-between because my own work exists there, too. Between photography and communication. Between studio and landscape. Between Denmark, Sweden and Germany. Between planned moments and unexpected ones. Between light and shadow. Between one chapter and the next. This is where I find stories. And this is where I want to photograph yours.

Whether you are welcoming a new baby, celebrating your relationship, documenting your family or simply wanting to preserve a chapter of your life — I'd love to hear your story. You don't have to know exactly what you want your photographs to look like. We can discover that together. Wherever your story takes you, let's find the light.

Let's create something meaningful.

Every creation carries its own story – a moment of beauty, connection, and emotion captured in its purest form. From the quiet tenderness of new beginnings to the details that make each story unique, my work is about preserving those fleeting moments and turning them into timeless memories.

COZY CUSTOMER WARDROBE

"A carefully curated selection of garments is essential because each piece contributes to the timeless beauty of your photos, allowing the focus to remain on the emotions and connections captured. By choosing soft, neutral tones, I ensure a sense of elegance and harmony that complements every moment, without distraction."

I have carefully curated a selection of garments with your comfort and elegance in mind. Each piece is chosen for its timeless, neutral tones, perfect for both indoor and outdoor settings. I favor soft, airy fabrics like cotton, linen, and silk, which photograph beautifully. You are welcome to choose from my growing wardrobe for your session or bring your own neutral-colored clothing (such as white, beige, or sand). Please let me know your preference in advance. For mums (to be), I recommend bringing skin-toned underwear, specially (nursing) bra + a plain white shirt, and for dads, a white undershirt for layering and a sleeveless white shirt work best.

Enhancing Newborn Photography with Baby Yoga Certification

As a newborn photographer, my goal has always been to create a calm, nurturing environment where babies feel comfortable, secure, and naturally expressive. To deepen my understanding of infant movement and development, I pursued certification in Baby Yoga through Birthlight, a training that integrates touch, movement, and connection from birth through the early years.
How Does Baby Yoga Benefit My Photography Work?
Newborn photography is not just about capturing beautiful images: it’s about understanding a baby’s natural movements, comfort levels, and unique ways of expression. With my training in Baby Yoga, I bring an added layer of expertise to every session:
✔️ Gentle, Safe Posing – My knowledge of infant anatomy and motor development ensures that every pose respects your baby’s natural flexibility, reflexes, and alignment.
✔️ A Soothing Experience – Using relaxation techniques and baby-friendly movement, I create an atmosphere where babies feel at ease, making for peaceful, natural portraits.
✔️ Enhanced Parent-Baby Bonding – Baby Yoga emphasizes interactive play and positive touch, helping parents feel more connected to their little one – something that translates beautifully into heartfelt images.
✔️ Encouraging Natural Movements – Instead of rigid posing, I encourage gentle, ability-appropriate positions that honor each baby’s stage of development, capturing their purest, most authentic moments.
✔️ Supporting Emotional Well-Being – Babies can sense their surroundings. My training helps me recognize subtle cues of discomfort, ensuring that sessions are always baby-led, stress-free, and filled with love.
By integrating the principles of Baby Yoga into my newborn photography sessions, I offer more than just beautiful images –I create an experience that is relaxing, enriching, and deeply connected to your baby’s natural rhythm. Would you love a peaceful, baby-centered photography experience?
